THE  EARTHQUAKE  IN  SICHUAN

Hi everyone, I just wanted to tell you that everyone here in the China Team of BBC Learning English is concerned about the devastating earthquake in Sichuan Province and are very sorry for the victims and their families.

For the past two days we have been following reports of the earthquake and it hurts to think that so many people have died and been injured. We would like to extend our empathy and consolation to the people in the affected areas.

We sincerely hope that the relief effort is successful and essential goods reach the victims as quickly as possible.
